We specialize in creating cold process soap made with rich, creamy goat's milk from our award-winning and health-certified herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Each bar is carefully crafted to nourish your skin, using natural ingredients and time-honored techniques. Our goat's milk soap is a customer favorite, offering a gentle, luxurious experience with every use.
In addition to our soaps, we raise several varieties of heritage chickens for both meat and eggs. Our seasonal offerings include hatching eggs, chicks, and laying hens, perfect for backyard flocks or small farms. Through years of selective breeding, we’ve developed a remarkable dual-purpose bird by crossing Delaware chickens with Whiting True Blue chickens. The result is our signature Jersey Bird Special—a hardy, productive, and beautiful addition to any homestead.
Our Nigerian Dwarf Goats
Our Nigerian Dwarf goats are the heart of our homestead. Known for their friendly personalities and high-quality goat milk soap, these goats are not only the foundation of our soap production but also a joy to raise. We breed and sell our goats for 4-H projects, dairy use, and as beloved family companions. Each goat is raised with the utmost care, ensuring they are healthy, happy, and ready for their new homes.
Our Poultry Flock
At Jersey Bird Homestead, our chicken flock is the heart of our farm, showcasing a delightful variety of Heritage Breeds. Among them, you'll find the classic Barred Rock, known for their resilience and friendly demeanor, and the Delaware, admired for their calm temperament and excellent meat quality. But the pride of our flock is our very own Jersey Bird Special, a unique breed developed right here on our homestead. This special breed combines the best traits for both egg production and meat, with beautiful plumage that's a sight to behold. Each of these chickens contributes to our sustainable and ethical approach to farming, ensuring that every bird not only lives a good life but also provides you with the highest quality eggs and meat.
